WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN!
Kindergarten is a year of growing socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Your involvement, interest, and enthusiasm will help make this a wonderful year of growth for you and your child.
Welcome to Kindergarten! This summer has seemed to fly by and I am so excited about beginning this school year with your child. My name is Mrs. Monica Teel and I have taught Headstart for five years and have been in childcare for 11 years now. Last year in January I taught kindergarten and was honored with Community Christian Academy. I’m eager to get to know your child and make this a fun, productive school year!
You are my best resource in providing a meaningful Christian Education for your child. I look forward to working closely with you this school year. You may contact me in several different ways; feel free to call the school (252-551-1055) or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.These messages will be received daily. I will be glad to schedule a conference with you to discuss your child’s progress.
During this school year, we will be communicating every day through our homework folder. Please initial their work when your child has completed these assignments. This ensures that you have seen the assignments given, and lets me know that you have helped your child complete them. This will also serve as a communication folder, as I will be writing occasional notes and sending home graded papers in this folder for you.
I am a firm believer in rewarding good behavior and strive to create a positive learning environment. During the next 180 school days, your child will be part of our team. On the first day of school, we will create a list of rules students are to follow for the school year. Students will also have the opportunity of earning marbles together and getting rewarded.
We share in your concern for your child spiritual, academic, and social development. Remember, feel free to email me or send a note in child's folder, or call the school office, if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s progress. Communication between parents and teachers is essential. I am very excited about having this opportunity to work with you and your children.
Thank you for sharing your child with me this year!
